Terms of use

These terms cover the use of this website. They are not the terms of a production — those are set out in the estimate and contract we sign with you, and nothing on this site changes, replaces or adds to them.

01 — What this site is

Information, not an offer.

Everything published here describes what we do and how production decisions get made. It is written to be useful and it is checked, but it is general information about the work rather than advice about your event, and it is not an offer capable of acceptance.

A production is quoted, not priced from a page. No part of this site constitutes a quotation, and nothing here commits either of us to anything. The terms of any work we do for you are the ones in the estimate and contract we both sign.

02 — The technical material

Use it. Check it against your own room.

Several pages here publish arithmetic — distance and delay, voltage drop over a cable run, bandwidth for a stream, ceiling heights and screen sizing. It is worked out on the page with the reasoning shown precisely so that you can check it, and we would rather you did.

It is also general. Every one of those calculations has assumptions behind it, and a real site has conditions the page cannot know about. Do not use anything published here as the engineering for an actual build. Load, rigging, structure, electrical supply and public safety on a real event are settled against that event, by somebody qualified, with the venue and the authorities having jurisdiction. We provide this material as background, and we accept no liability for decisions taken from it outside of work we are engaged to do.

03 — Accuracy

We correct things rather than disclaim them.

Figures published here are sourced, and the source is cited on the page that uses them. Specifications, capabilities and published figures can change, and a page can go out of date between one visit and the next. If something here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it — that is a more useful commitment than a paragraph saying nothing can be relied upon.

The site is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be available without interruption or free of error.

04 — What belongs to whom

The writing and the photographs are ours.

The text, photographs, layout and design of this site belong to All On Stage Productions and are protected by copyright. You are welcome to link to any page, to quote a short passage with attribution, and to print a page for your own use in planning an event.

Republishing a page or a photograph, or using this material to train or populate another product or service, requires our written permission. Ask — we are not difficult about it, and we would rather be asked than find out.

Any trade name or mark belonging to somebody else that appears here belongs to its owner, and its appearance does not imply any relationship between us.

05 — Linked sites

What is on the other end is not ours.

Where a page cites a source, it may link to somebody else's website. We link because the material is worth reading, not because we control it or endorse everything on it, and we are not responsible for what is published there.

06 — Where the real terms live

In the estimate, signed by both of us.

Scope, schedule, payment, cancellation, insurance, liability and what happens if the weather intervenes are all settled in the contract for your event, not on this page. If you want to see those terms before committing to anything, ask and we will send them — they are not a surprise held back until the end.

These terms of use are governed by the law of the State of Florida.

Questions about any of this go to [email protected] or 561-750-4070.
